THE WHITE RABBIT

A music venue. A nightclub. A speakeasy in a 1916 bank vault. All inside one of downtown Akron's most striking historic buildings — reborn as the city's next cultural landmark.

The Vision

Three venues. One rabbit hole.

The White Rabbit isn't one room with one vibe. It's a layered experience — the deeper you go, the stranger and more wonderful it gets.

🎸

The Concert Club

A live music venue built for everyone — touring bands, headline DJs, EDM nights, emo nights, rap showcases, comedy, open mics, and Sunday OddMall markets. Two stages running simultaneously means two shows, two crowds, one address.

🥂

The Nightclub

Upstairs turns into the club — headline DJs under a mezzanine skylight, a dance floor ringed by VIP tables, cosplaying bottle-service teams with LED trays, and a bar program built to keep the night moving until 2:30 AM.

🗝️

The Vault Speakeasy

Beneath it all: the original bank vault, restored as a hidden speakeasy lounge. Craft cocktails, private rooms, a photo booth behind an unmarked door — and a future full restaurant on the lower level.

328 S Main Street

A Roman temple with a rabbit inside.

The historic Akron National Bank Building — two-story Corinthian columns, a grand spiral staircase, an original vault, and a spot on the National Register of Historic Places since 2009.

Designed by the architect behind some of the nation's most notable buildings, the bones here are irreplaceable. Major systems — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression — are already complete, which is why we can go from keys to grand opening in 100 days. More at 328onmain.com.

The Mezzanine

Overlooks the second-floor stage through the open atrium under a new skylight. Band and DJ green rooms, offices, and a bird's-eye view of the chaos below.

Second stage and dance floor with a full bar, catering kitchen, and VIP lounge. Headline DJs, EDM, and themed nights — running simultaneously with the main floor, reached by the grand spiral staircase.

The Main Hall

The grand banking hall becomes the main stage — touring bands, showcases, comedy, and private events beneath the original coffered ceilings. Pre-function bar, coat check, valet entrance off Main Street.

The Vault & Speakeasy

The original bank vault anchors a hidden cocktail lounge with private dining, photo booth, and its own kitchen — plus a white-box space reserved for a future lower-level restaurant.

The Programming

Every night, a different door.

From $10 weeknight open mics to sold-out headliners — dynamic pricing, in-house ticketing, and two stages that never compete for the same crowd.

The Skyline

A rabbit in the Akron sky.

Our drone light swarm turns the night sky above 328 S Main into a canvas — the barbed-wire bunny glowing hundreds of feet over downtown on show nights.

It's advertising no billboard can match: announcing headliners, lighting up grand openings, and making The White Rabbit part of the skyline itself. A recurring spectacle people drive downtown just to see — and every phone that films it is free marketing.

The Numbers

Bought like a value investor. Run like a machine.

A ~$1M historic building purchased at $330K. A $580K Ohio 166 loan structure covering the full project. Tax credits and grants stacked on top. This is a venue that starts life already ahead.

Why This Works

Two stages. Two operators. One inevitable outcome.

$670K
Equity on Day One

The building alone is the safety net. Everything the venue earns is on top of an asset bought at a third of its value.

Two simultaneous revenue streams

DJ headliners upstairs, touring bands downstairs — both selling tickets and drinks at once, every weekend.

In-house ticketing

No Ticketmaster cut. We keep the service fees (~$41K/month) and get working capital from advance sales before doors open.

Proven operators

Dan Kline — economics degree, multiple LLCs, bar and restaurant management. Kota Rose — venue operations from The Vortex, The Outpost, and TempleLive, doing the buildout himself and saving $60–100K in labor.

Programming that drinks

Raves, emo nights, and showcases drive far higher bar spend than seated concerts — with drinks marked up 300–600%.

Fund the Vision · Founders Campaign

Get in before the door has a line.

The loan covers the building. The Founders Campaign covers the magic — sound, lighting, props, opening inventory — and every founder is written into the story of this place permanently.
